It is a moment of joy and pride to the parents and students of ISM which has sent the largest contingent of 454 students for the class X CBSE board examinations in March 2010.

 Reshma Kunjumon, Taniya Grace Joshua, Neelam Pramod Purohit, Veena Nair, Tejeswi Raviraj Hegde, Aditya Mohan, Shriya Sasank and Murtaza Hussain put up a spectacular performance in the Board Examinations sweeping A1 grade in all the five subjects with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 10 out of 10.    

 The grade revolution has begun.  The declaration of percentage  marks in CBSE class X board examinations has been scrapped.  Grades have been exciting, ambitious and has redefined the way parents and teachers view performance  achievement of students.

 Success with all A1 grades (with grade point 10) is the real chase for excellence and is treated synonymous  with winning top ranking academic performance that is ever possible in the CBSE class X results which was  announced in Delhi this morning.

ISM teachers’  mantra for achieving success was their concerted drive to make maximum A1, A2 grades in all subjects.

 This has resulted that out of  454 students who performed in five subjects of the examination, there were 532 catches in A1 (i.e. 91% to 100%) in different subjects.  

The number of catches with A1 + A2 (above 80%) are staggering 931.

 Also high achievers made the school proud by showing 762 cases in (61% to 80%) group. 

 Finally there are 1698 subject grade achievers in the (61% to 100%) category, the highest success grade achievement number in various subjects.  

Most students attained excellence in almost all subjects, bringing laurels and pride to their parents and the school.  They exhibited remarkable hard work and took up challenging assignments to bring out impressive A1, A2 grades which actually means distinction grades (which are above 81% to 100%.)  

Out of 454 students appeared for the board examinations,  there  are 188 students who secured 81 to 100% and as many as  177 students scored B grades – 61 to 80%.  

Aditya Mohan who is in the elite group of students who scored A1 grades in all the five subjects says that he wants to pursue Commerce with Maths  stream and wants to  become a Chartered Accountant.  He has attributed his success to the motivation of teachers for his  better achievement. The  remedial and enrichment programmes of the school has been a constant driving force, he said.

 Neelam Pramod Purohit who is also in this group says that she wants to pursue  her studies opting commerce stream with Mathematics and to become a Chartered Accountant.  She mentioned that besides her hard work, regularity in class notes, focus on work sheets and enrichment exercises helped her to achieve to be among  the toppers.  Intelligent and creative challenges provided in the school  have inculcated good work habit in achieving superior  success, she said.  

Reshma Kunjumon with her perfect A1 grades in all subjects wants to become an IAS officer and has contributed her success to stipulated academic work in the school, good teachers and extra notes that the school made available helped her to reach excellence in all subjects. 

 Tejaswi Raviraj Hegde also with perfect 5 A1s says that the effective teaching strategies and challenging assignments and imaginative academic work lead her to study with ambition to reach excellence.  She says early morning wake up and focus on what teachers taught at school helped her to achieve excellence .  She wants to pursue science stream and become a medical doctor.  

Taniya Grace Joshua with outstanding all 5 A1s wishes to become an architect, excel in computer science.  She admires that more intellectual  and creative teaching at school and excellent ways  of motivation and providing opportunities through enrichment programmes gave better and deeper understanding of the subjects; thus leading to excellence in the examinations.  

Similar views attributed to the school efforts were accorded by Veena Nair, Shriya Sasank and Murtaza Hussain in praise of their teachers and school’s academic perfection.

 Several students also exhibited remarkable grades in various subjects.

 ENGLISH:   64 students attained 91-100%, 202 students scored 81-90% and 169 students received 61-80%.

 MATHEMATICS:  173 students scored 91-100%, 69 students in the grade of 81-90% and 97 students attained 61-80%.  

SCEINCE:  88 students received 91-100%, 101 students attained 81-90% and 148 students obtained 61-80%.  

SOCIAL SCIENCE:  147 students secured 91-100%, 116 students scored 81-90% and 147 students received 61-80%.  

LANGUAGES

 HINDI (Total appeared 286):  72 students scored 81-100% and 163 students received 61-80%.

 FRENCH (Appeared 126):  87 students attained 81-100% and 30 students scored 61-80%.  

ARABIC (More challenging – 42 students appeared):  25 students scored  61-100%.

 The spectacular achievements of ISM students involved new ways of teaching, providing challenging assignments, inculcating good study habits and motivating them for better achievements, with better understanding of the subject.  

The Principal and  teachers of the school expressed their happiness on the heartening performance of the students and hoped that this is an excellent beginning for furthering ambitions.  

 The President and all members  of the School Managing Committee congratulated the Principal, parents, students and teachers for the commanding  performance grades in the CBSE examinations with special congratulatory  remarks to the high achievers and top grade scorers in various subjects.
