What's New Annual Sports Day – Std. I and II Students of Class 1
and 11 of Indian School Muscat, celebrated their Annual Sports Day at the
school grounds on Tuesday, 31st January . |
Board of Directors of the Indian Schools in Oman. The march past by Std II
children carrying value based banners had them marching rhythmically and
energetically to the beat of the drums. This was immediately followed by
individual and group races. Many interesting novelty races like Camel
race, Crocodile race, Bursting the balloon, Obstacle race, etc. had the
children racing against each other displaying their sporting zeal and
athletic spirits. 
Dr. Mrs. Ragini Vaishnav gave away the medals to the winners. The Pom Pom
drill display by class II students was a visual delight. The colourful
pompoms fluttering up in the air in various geometrical formations
enthralled the audience. The display of Calisthenics by students of class
1 was indeed a superb show of grace and co ordination. Apt to the show, a
fitting finale was the group song sung very melodiously by 1200 students
in praise of their motherland - all about making India a haven of peace,
progress and prosperity.
