ISM STUDENTS BRING LAURELS TO THE SCHOOL

The results of the recently held 5th National Cyber Olympiad brought kudos to the Dept. of Computer Science of Indian School Muscat. The school measured up to the national standards and Shuvankar Goswami of Std.IV H stood 23rd and Sandra Deepthy Siby of Std.XI A stood 48th in the All India ranking.17 other students who obtained All India ranking in the 1-500 range have qualified for the second level of the 5th National Cyber Olympiad.

The National Cyber Olympiad, conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation, is a nationwide talent search contest. The purpose of this contest is to create awareness about computers by bringing in an element of challenge and competition as well as to inspire the younger generation to enhance their knowledge base. It is essentially an aptitude test that lays stress on questions that call for mental, logical and analytical reasoning pertaining to computers and information technology.
