SWAMI SWAROOPANANDA ENTHUSES ISM STUDENTS
Indian School Muscat conducted a
special assembly for students of middle
classes in
the new Multipurpose Hall on 23rd October
2008.
Swami Swaroopananda of Chinmaya
Mission was the special guest to address the students. Swami
spoke to the
children on how to build up their self-confidence and
become successful achievers in life. His Holiness is the
Regional Head of Chinmaya Mission
UK
,
Australia
, South East Asia and the
Middle East
. He is the Director of Chinmaya International
Residential School in
Coimbatore
, and is presently based there.
The morning’s programme began with
the rendition of some melodious bhajans by ISM students,
which kept the audience absolutely spellbound. Swami
Swaroopananda kept the children engrossed with the
narration of experiences and exacting life’s moments
in life, how confidence is developed.
He had a lively inter-active session
with the students. The students were highly motivated
and learnt the basic methods of developing their self-
confidence, and to believe that the sky is the limit, as
far as what they can achieve in their lifetime is
concerned. He
cited the examples of confident icons such as Swami
Vivekananda and our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
and urged all children to emulate them by pertinent
dedication, devotion and discipline.
Swamiji wished all children to
succeed as confident leaders in the school and beyond.
