BOYS AND GIRLS EXCEL IN CBSE
OMAN
CLUSTER BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
CBSE Oman Cluster Basketball Tournament for Under
19 Boys and Girls was hosted by Indian School Muscat
from 2nd to
4th November 2009
. Five schools namely Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir,
Indian School Darsait, Indian School Al Ghubra, Indian
School Sohar and the host ISM participated in it.
ISM once again proved its supremacy in Basketball
by winning both the Boys and the Girls titles.
ISM reached the finals by defeating Indian School
Al Ghubra in the semi finals while Indian School Sohar
reached the finals by defeating Indian School Al Wadi Al
Kabir. In the closely contested final match, ISM won
against Indian School Sohar- scores 39-31. Troyes Dique
with 15 points and Anuj with 11 points were top scorers
for ISM, while Sameer Khan and Dig Vijay Singh with 11
points each were top scorers for Indian School Sohar.
In
the Girls section Indian School Muscat defeated Indian
School Al Ghubra scores 26-16. Susan Sam Varghese with
10 points was top scorer for ISM while Rovina.N
D’Souza with 8 points was top scorer for Indian School
Al Ghubra.

Indian School
Muscat (ISM) students proved their prowess with
brilliant performance at the CBSE Oman Cluster Table
Tennis tournament held recently at Indian School Al Wadi
Al Kabir. ISM swept the board by winning all the six
categories and qualified to represent CBSE Oman Chapter
at the CBSE Nationals to be held at
Nagpur
,
India
in the month of December 2009.
