DRAMA CLUB
INAUGURATED AT ISM
Indian School Muscat has launched a drama club in
order to hone the abundant histrionic talents in
students. The club was inaugurated on Thursday, April
15, 2010 in the school multipurpose hall in the presence
of the Principal, Mr. Achuthan Madhav, Vice Principal,
Mr. Sunny Thomas, Asst Vice-Principals, Mr. Deep Wilson
and Mr. Nagesh Kelkar, teacher coordinators of the drama
club and a large number of students from the senior
section.
Mrs.
Lakshmi Sivakumar delivered the welcome address. After
formally inaugurating the club by lighting the
traditional lamp, the Principal congratulated the
budding artists of the club and expressed his hope that
their participation in the drama club would groom their
knowledge about the drama including scriptwriting,
make-up, light and sound effects, back stage
coordination and backdrops, overall stage presentation
and management, which would help in their personality
development. Later, a group of students from the drama
club presented a science skit titled ‘Meltdown of a
Power Plant’ which was highly appreciated for its
excellent creativity. A large number of enthusiastic
students have enrolled themselves in the club. The
Indian School Muscat family wishes the club members all
the very best.
