ENVIRONMENT ART EXCELLS AT ISM
The
grandeur of Crown Plaza Hotel was the venue for the Art
Creativity and Poster Competition.
Talent holders of ISM who were felicitated with
cash awards and prizes on 27.2.2009.
David
Andrew J Daang (Class X) bagged the winning first prize
and Sharanya M C (Class IX) received the runners up
prize with gift coupons.
They were trained and guided by Mr. Nagendra J.
Acharya, senior art faculty member at ISM.
The
ISM artistic team included Priyanka Balakrishnan, B.
Kiran, Ashika Rao, Sharanya, Karun Suresh, David Andrew
J. Daang, Megha Bilgi, Subrajit Ghosal.
The
Environmental Society of Oman organized a mass movement
to enlighten our
society for saying NO to plastic bags.
The campaign underlined that plastic bags are
harmful to the environment.
Plastic bags are dangerous to animals.
Hence, we must reduce our dependence on plastic
bags and reap the benefits of re-usable bags.
Several
talented children of
Oman
schools participated in Poster competition organized by
the Environment Society of Oman.
A large number of entries were evaluated by
expert group in
terms of students’ creativity, illustration of the
environmental theme and artistic expression of major
concept to reduce, reuse and recycle for saving
beautiful
Oman
and its environment.
