NIGHTINGLES OF
ISM
An enchanting
and melodies evening “Nightingales of ISM”,show
–casing the musical talents of ISM students were
organized by
the Music Department
on 13th and 14th February 2009.
Dr.
J. Retnakumar, Country Manager, New India Assurance Co.
Ltd. presided over the function and
was highly impressed by the talents in the ISM and was
all praises for the school music teaches who nurture
such talents.
The
trio of Kum. Aishwarya kumar, Kum, Sanjana Mohandoss
& Kum. Sowmya Vijayan, popularly known as “The
Nightingales of ISM” performed on Friday. Aishwarya
& Sanjana presented
3 semi-classical Hindi Songs.
Sowmya gave a full-fledged carnatic classical
recital for an hour and a half.
About
20 students from class I to class XII performed on
Saturday, presenting variety ranging from Hindustani
Classical,Carnatic Classical, Ghazals, Bhajans and
semi-classical film songs.
The audience also enjoyed a Solo Tabla recital by
Aashish Rao of class IX.
The
Programme was co-ordinated by Mr. Ramesh Ramtekji &
supported and guided by Mr. Radhakrishnan (Tabla) Mr.
Pandita (Harmonium),
Ms. R. Meenakshi, Mr. Avinash Mathur and all the Faculty
members of the Music Department of ISM. The Parents and
Music lovers were impressed by the performance of
'The Nightingales of ISM'
