DARSHAN
he
Indian School Muscat Music Circle
has organized Raag Darshan and highlighted on Raag
Bhopali in Hindustani and Mohanam in Carnatic Music. The
principal of
ISM and the senior citizens The Grand Parents
inaugurated the programme on November 23, by lighting
the lamp.
The
programme was divided in to two sessions .In the first
session Ramesh Ramtekji, coordinator of Raag Darshan,
gave a
demonstration on Raag Bhopali (Hindustani Music) while
Meenakshi R. shared light on Mohanam ( Carnatic Music) .
The
second session was thrown open for teachers, students
and their parents. students who put up talented
performances were Soumya, Samarth, Abirami ,Giridhar,Kirthika,
,Aishwarya, Mahak, Aarzoo, Prarena, Anurag, Shravanti,
Tanushree, Niyati Rao Anushree, Archana Murli and Mr.
Radhakrishnan.
Comparing
was done by Mrs Chaitali Bhattacharya. All the
participants were accompanied by Mr.Radhakrishnan on
Tabla, Ramesh Ramtekji and Avinash Mathur on Harmonium.
The Special guest of honour were the Principal of ISM
and the Admin. Manager
ISM. VP primary and Ms Asha Bhatia HOD. Also we had some
distinguish guests from the Sultan school Dr. David
possnett .
The
prizes for the event were sponsored by one of the lover
of this great programme to encourage the budding
talents. The prizes were given to all the performers by
the principal of ISM. The next episode of Raag Darshan
will be commenced after the winter break.
