SANTA VISITS ISM
On
8th Dec. 2009, the Middle Section at Indian
School Muscat, celebrated Christmas with gaiety and
fervour. To commemorate the occasion, the foyer of the
multi-purpose hall wore a festive look with a gaily
decorated Christmas tree.
The
audience was warmly welcomed to this joyous celebration
by Ajay Mishra of Std. 8. Col. R. V. S Mani,
Administration Manager of Indian School Muscat, lit the
Christmas tree giving a befitting start to the
programme. The
meaning and spirit of Christmas was brought out
beautifully by the programme, “Is it really
Christmas?’ This was followed by Christmas Carols sung
melodiously by the students of the Middle Section.
The
entry of Santa Claus to the pulsating carol, Jingle
Bells, set the audience roaring with excitement. The
highlight of the programme was an enthralling dance set
to a lively foot-tapping number performed by the little
angels of Std. 5. The Vice-Principal of the Primary
Section, Mr. Anand Prabhu, addressed the gathering and
conveyed his good wishes for Christmas and a joyous and
prosperous New Year. The programme culminated with a
Vote of Thanks proposed by
Shuvankar Goswami of Std. 8.
